ELISE HERNKE

I'm Elise, a multimedia journalist, collage artist and podcast host. After living in New York City as a digital marketer for almost a decade, I was constantly scribbling movie reviews on the side which eventually became the blog “Inglorious Baguettes.” That turned into a podcast which led me to going back to school.

In 2024, I graduated with a Master of Arts in Specialized Journalism of Arts & Culture and set out to pursue a life of writing about film, history, culture and media.

In the past year, I had the opportunity to write about the intersection of tech and the entertainment industry for a newsletter, work on a film set and help develop a curriculum for a recovery program. In other words, I am endlessly curious and my interests are always expanding.

I also continue to run my film & media focused Instagram account @ingloriousbaguettes, run a zine with a group of my peers (more info. to come) and pour my energy into podcasting.
